Workshop "Qualitätsaspekte Maschinellen Lernens – Amtliche Statistik zwischen methodischer Aktualität und besonderer Qualitätsverpflichtung"

Mit dem European Code of Practice unterliegt die Amtliche Statistik in Europa besonderen Qualitätsanforderungen. Eine dieser Anforderungen ist, dass die statistischen Prozesse zur Erhebung, Aufbereitung und Verbreitung von Statistiken internationalen Standards und Leitlinien in vollem Umfang genügen und zugleich dem aktuellen Stand der Forschung entsprechen. Andererseits spielen die Ansätze des maschinellen Lernens eine zunehmend größere Rolle in der Amtlichen Statistikproduktion.
Um das Erfahrungswissen der Wissenschaft unter dem Dach der Qualität zusammenzubringen, veranstaltet das Statistik Netzwerk Bayern diesen wissenschaftlichen Workshop. Der Workshop wird für das Statistik Netzwerk Baxyern vom Bayerischen Landesamt für Statistik, dem Institut für Statistik der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität und dem ifo Institut München unter Mitwirkung des Statistischen Bundesamtes organisiert.
WORKSHOP: Quality Aspects of Machine Learning - Official Statistics between Specific Quality Requirements and Methodological Innovation

With the European Code of Practice, oficially statistics in Europe are subject to special quality requirements. One of these requirements is that the statistical processes for collecting, processing and disseminating statistics fully comply with the international standards and guidelines and at the same time reflects the current state of scientific resreach. On the other hand, machine learning approaches are playing an increasingly important role on official statistics production.
In order to bring together the already built up empirical knowledge of science under the umbrella of quality, the Statistics Network Bavaria is organizing this scientific workshop. The workshop is organized fpr the Statistic Network Bavaria by the Bavarian Statistical Office, the Institute of Statistics of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich and the ifo Institute Munich with the cooperation of the Federal Statisitcal Office of Germany.
